Itinerary of the tour

Day 1

  • Arrive at Cochin airport where you will be greeted with a welcome drink. You will be escorted to the transportation by the tour director (Only for Group Tours).
  • Leave the airport for a one-hour drive to Fort Kochi.
  • On your way to Fort Kochi, get an exciting introduction of Kerala’s rich bio-diversity (Only for Group Tours).
  • Reach Fort Kochi where you will stay in an exclusive Heritage Bungalow.
  • Take an evening walk along side Fort Kochi with fresh coffee and coconut water.
  • Get the first glimpse of ‘God’s own country’ with its majestic historical buildings and Chinese fishing nets.
  • Watch Kathakali, a dance drama show and return to your stay.
  • Meet and greet tour members at the gala dinner where you’ll be also briefed about the tour (Only for Group Tours).

Accommodation

Constructed in the characteristic Kerala architecture, the Hotel has 24 luxurious rooms built around lush tropical trees. Overseeing the glittering port at night with the soothing sound of the waves.

Day 2

  • Early morning breakfast.
  • Leave for Kuttanad, a two hour drive from Kochi. Kuttanad is the only place in India below the sea level. It is also called the “Rice bowl of India”.
  • Sail for 15 minutes by a country boat to reach your stay surrounded by 1000 acres of Paddy plantation on one side and backwaters on the other.
  • Lunch and relax.
  • It’s evening time. Get ready for a three hours Shikara ride and visit a 150 year old basilica church along the beautiful and meandering backwaters of kerala.
  • Enjoy the evening with folk music usually sung by local villagers during the rainy season and the harvest (Only for Group Tours).
  • Eat traditional Kerala dinner besides the backwaters.

Accommodation

Stay in a heritage home situated in an island of Paddy field surrounded by backwaters consisting of exotic flora, breathtaking flowers, myriad birds, and butterflies. Dating back 150 years, this heritage home retains its original architectural features, mostly in teak, with splendid wood carvings.

Day 3

  • Go on a early morning walk to the Paddy fields.
  • Come back for the breakfast and get ready to experience the Kerala life.
  • Wear local attire and go for the island tour in an auto-rickshaw.
  • Worship at a local temple and feel the spirituality in the air.
  • Return to your stay for a Sadya lunch served on a banana leaf.
  • Take a Canoe ride to the backwaters and catch the glimpse of backwater village life where the boat is equivalent to a vehicle.
  • In the middle of Emerald land marbled with endless veins of canals, these backwaters are one of Kerala’s unique wonders. You’ll discover why Kerala is called “India’s own Venice”.
  • Return to your stay and rejuvenate yourself with some ME time.

  • Have your breakfast and get ready to head for Vagamon, a four hours journey from Kuttanad.
  • Check-in to your accommodation with a welcome drink.
  • It’s afternoon time and another exotic Kerala lunch is ready to be served.
  • Go on a rubber plantation walk and learn about the process of rubber making.
  • Take a dip in the natural rock pool located near the villa and reach a village where you’ll sip some amazing local tea & coffee.
  • Return back to your stay in local jeeps.
  • Rejuvenate yourself with some ME time.
  • Take an early dinner and call it a night.

Stay in the middle of proclaimed UNESCO world heritage site and one of the eighth hottest spots of biological diversity in the world. A calm, tranquil farm stay set in the beautiful foothills of Vagamon, you’ll stay in a 70 years old estate villa. Set amidst 150 acres of rubber and spice plantations, the bungalow has a serene environment free from noise and pollution.

Day 5

  • Have your breakfast and checkout.
  • Leave for Anachal, a beautiful stay on top of the hills inside 100% eco-friendly cottages.
  • Prepare for a dramatic change of scenery as you drive much higher into the mountains.
  • Take the afternoon Sadya lunch.
  • Head at Munnar town in the afternoon for shopping.
  • Watch Kalaripayattu (Keralian Martial Art)show and return to your stay.
  • Have your dinner in the evening.

Day 6

  • Wake up early morning listening to the melodious whistle of the beautiful the Malabar Whistling Thrush, Malabar Hornbill, Nilgiri flycatcher and Yellow-browed Bulbul only found in Western Ghats.
  • Go on an early morning ridge trek. Watch the sun rising from the middle of the clouds on the hilltop and come back for breakfast.
  • You’ll drive in a 4×4 Jeep safari for 3-hours and visit the unexplored part of the mountains.
  • Return to your stay for Lunch and rejuvenate yourself with some ME time.
  • Have your dinner and call it a night.

Have your breakfast and leave early morning to Cochin Airport or Railway Station for your journey back home.
